Focus for today’s race was on the basics in my shooting – setting up and keeping the rhythm. I’m pleased with the shooting. During zero it was turning into an interesting day for shooting with some really strong gusts. By race time the wind died down. The wind though had done its damage, blowing branches and an unbelievable amount of needles all over the course. Today’s race wax wasn’t about fastest on snow but fastest over pine needles. I’m happy with the race today, but still learned a few lessons. Like wait till the pellet hits the target before you get up off the mat or else you miss the target. One more race on Tuesday- the Individual or Long Distance race.
